PC players however still have the option to play together with friends using the LAN mode.Īfter selling more than 11 million copies and breaking franchise records both on PC and home consoles, Need for Speed Underground 2 still manages to impress to this day with its addictive gameplay, visual appeal and the incredibly strong presence of “early” NFS games that are still held in high regard. In addition to the long and diverse singleplayer campaign, Need for Speed Underground 2 also featured extensive support for online events, but sadly official servers were shut down years ago. The game supports individual tuning of several distinct areas of the car, such as turbo, suspension, gear ratios, brake bias, aerodynamics, and more. Upgrade of car’s performance can be done either via the manual purchase of parts or by getting upgrade packages. Following the tradition of the first game, players of Need for Speed Underground 2 can also extensively customize their cars, including both internal parts and all external panels and visual add-ons such as vinyl, decals, custom gear (nitrous, under neon glow, etc.). The gameplay modes allow much more freedom than in previous NFS games, and include not only the modes present in the first Underground game (such as Sprint, Circuit, Drift and Drag races), but also a wide array of new modes such as Street X, Special Events, Outruns, and Underground Racing League set of tournaments. The story of this game is a direct continuation of the events that happened in the original NFS Underground for PC, with the main player moving from fictional Olympic City to Bayview, where he gets involved in another struggle between various criminal organizations, police forces and underground racing culture where only the best drivers can rise to the status of the best underground racer in Bayview. PS.I was selling computers before PCI Express came out.Back in the days of AGP.I worked at "RadioShack" before it became "The Source".And I also worked at "Futureshop".As a direct sequel to the 2003’s NFS: Underground, this game successfully managed to improve many of the aspects of its predecessor and offers fans of this popular franchise access to streamlined gameplay features, new modes of play, improved pacing of the main campaign, more activities in the open-world environment, broader car customization support, and improved audio/visual presentation. Just look at the Intel Iris Pro Graphics 5200, ranks in at the top of class 2 on said to be only 15 percent behind the dedicated mid-range cards Geforce GT 650M, and GT 750M. But CPU`s now are dual, quad, or even eight core, with much more cache memory, and are able to do some graphics fairly decently. Integrated graphics are slower than dedicated graphics, back in the early 2000`s, shared memory graphics were a joke. Compared to the PS2 and Xbox versions, the graphics are far ahead on the not run it at 640x480 and max detail settings, its better to have more FPS then higher resolution, my current PC gets 60+FPS on 1024x768 and max settings, but I usually run the game at 640x480 and max detail settings, graphics are still very good without sacrificing FPS. The Graphics at these settings are very sharp. NFS U2 on my current Computer(AMD-A8) - 1024 x768 Maxxed Settings - 62 FPS w/Fraps The demo is still available, just search on google, try it out and see how it runs.ĪMD A8-5557m Quad Core 圆4 with 4 MB L2 Cache Windows Your Core i3 will run Underground 2 just fine. Intel Q35 - much slower than Intel HD 3000 I was recently playing Underground 2 on this: Geforce MX 4000 64MB - had no pixel shader support, only vertex shader and TnL - PCI(not express) 256 MB SD Ram 100 - that ram was clocked at 100mhz!!!!!!!! that's damn slow.
